A three city, studio standard screenwriting lab running from April to July 2026.
Building an original feature film concept through guided development, in person labs, and pitch preparation.
What is Write the Future
Write the Future is a specialized screenwriting lab anchored in three strategic hubs to serve writers across Asir, Al Madinah, the Eastern Province, and their surrounding regions (including Tabuk, Hail, Al-Jouf, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Bahah)
Over a structured 3-month program, participants will gain professional tools to transform an original concept into a complete Feature-Film Package.

- Feature-Film Treatment (8–12 pages)
- Visual Pitch Deck
- Recorded 3-Minute Pitch Presentation

Participation is 100% covered by Netflix. There are no fees to apply.

Language:
The program will be delivered primarily in Arabic.

Who Can Apply
Open to Saudi and non-Saudi resident writers currently living in one of the three program hubs or the surrounding regions with an original film concept. Priority is given to underrepresented voices and applicants who can commit to the full program schedule.

Application Requirements
- Original film concept, 1 to 2 pages
- Short writing sample, up to 5 pages
- Statement of intent, 250 words
